Flood Advisory issued September 4 at 4:43PM MST until September 4 at 7:45PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ
AREAS AFFECTED: Coconino, AZ
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Minor wash and street flooding caused by excessive rainfall. * WHERE...A portion of north central Arizona, including the following county, Coconino. * WHEN...Until 745 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 442 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated periods of heavy rain due to repeating thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Johnson Wash, Johnson Run and Lost Spring Wash. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fredonia. - This includes the following highways... State Route 389 near mile marker 32. U.S. Highway 89A between mile markers 605 and 612. - Additional information is available at weather.gov/flagstaff.
INSTRUCTION: Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
