DESCRIPTION: ...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Wisconsin... Kickapoo River at Ontario affecting Monroe and Vernon Counties. .Heavy rain has resulted in minor flooding along the Kickapoo River neat Ontario. No additional rainfall is expected as the rain is ending across the basin. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring on the south side of the town of Ontario due to the Brush Creek and Kickapoo River and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Kickapoo River at Ontario. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding occurs along the river in the Ontario area. Water may be over Highway P near Bridge 10, and also over Winchell Valley Road at Bridge 8. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 18.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:00 AM CDT Saturday was 18.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.7 feet early this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this evening. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.9 feet on 03/14/2007. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense. The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.

Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types. They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are smaller than raindrops.

Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle, a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface. Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
